Ancient monastic site and round tower in the beautiful Glendalough valley with its 2 lakes. There are short walks around the lakes. Set aside 4 hours or so if you do the longer walk around the valley, well laid out with sections of boardwalk to make it possible.
This is one of the wonders of Wicklow and a must do when you visit Ireland. Walk right around the lakes and experience Ireland as it was thousands of years ago. A true heritage site. A car would be ideal for this trip but you can reach Glendalough by bus from bray at 12.15 everyday from the Town Hall on the main street.

Glendalough. in the heart of the Wicklow mountains Lovely walks and remains of oldest Monastic settlement in Ireland. Difficult to access by public transport. You need a car. we can also organize a 7 seater taxi hire for the trip via Blessington Lakes and the scenic Sally Gap boglands
