Situated across two floors, the Museum of the Iron Age tells the story of the Danebury hillfort which lies to the south west of Andover. The hillfort was excavated by Professor Barry Cunliffe between 1969 and 1988 and is one of the best-studied sites of the British Iron Age.

Andover's Iron Age Museum is a must see - it's free entry and a great place for children. Most of the finds from the famous Danebury Hill Fort can be found here as well as a Roman Mosaic, and the history of Andover as an old market town.

Andover Museum tells the rich and fascinating story of Andover and the surrounding area. It displays Natural History, Archaeology and Social History, including the story of the notorious Andover workhouse scandal and the Weyhill Fair, once the largest sheep sale in the country. It also has a temporary exhibition gallery, which hosts a diverse programme; including workshops on arts, crafts, Museum collections and community projects.
