Closest local beach, boat ramp, great place to fly a kite, have a picnic or relax. All the beaches on the gulf coast are shallow for miles.

A small Gulf beach, with a long fishing pier and a lovely walkway, this beach usually has a variety of wading birds. There is also a boat launch. Driving out Ft Island Trail, there are places to stop and enjoy a few birding walks, as well as a stop at the fishing pier and boat launch on the right as you head towards the beach.
