“This is the first of three lighthouses that you can see in the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. Built in 1872, this lighthouse is close enough to visit if you are short on time. Bodie Island, (pronounced Body), is just before the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center and no longer an island.”

“Come see the tallest lighthouse in the United States. Walk up 208 steps to see the area around the Outer Banks in 360 degree view. Go to the museum on the grounds and learn about life in the Outer Banks from the perspective of those who lived on or near the water. Interesting artifacts and great locale. ”
