Learn about the flora and fauna when you drive up to see the canyon and lookouts. Also nice selection of gifts in the restaurant next door. The food is good there and open for B,L.

Always check in with the great staff at the museum. They know the conditions of the trails and have great suggestions on hikes suitable for your party. The lodge has good food and drinks too.

The forest preserve museum holds an island map and much info of what your Looking At up along the lookout ridges.
