Experience the communal form of eating in Penang where a variety of different ingredients are placed on skewers such as oysters, vegetables, shrimp, crab sticks, fish/meat balls, mushrooms and even pig ears. Once you choose what you want, there is a communal pot of boiling water to cook your food in. Locals will recommend what sauce to choose based on the stick you have =)

About 25 minutes walk towards another end of Gurney Drive will find the famous Gurney Drive open-air hawker stalls ground. Personal favourite would be the No. 11 Laksa, Toufu Fa, Wan Tan Mee. Not too fond of the Char Koay Teow that always has people queue on it. Another stall that has less queue is our favourite though.
