The founder of the 'Ara Cafe' is none other than Ara Güler himself. In his restaurant you can eat very well a la carte, with regularly changing dishes. For the kitchen of this à la carte restaurant, this means more work and greater uncertainty in planning, because à la carte dishes have to be cooked and prepared in small quantities à la minute, i.e. at the same time on time for serving, and much more ingredients have to be provided for this than is the case, for example, when only a few unchanging menus are offered. It is especially pleasing that you can also order vegan food at Cafe Ara. The staff is responsive to your wishes and that is really something special. If you are going out to dinner, I recommend that you reserve a table in advance. The restaurant is very popular in the inner seating area, not only because the food is prepared here in the highest quality but also because of the charming vintage interior and all the authentic photos that Ara Güler took. To his photos: Ara Güler photographed not only the daily hustle and bustle of this wonderful city but also people like Winston Churchill, Indira Gandhi, Bertrand Russell, Maria Callas, Alfred Hitchcock, Salvador Dalí and Picasso. What I regret is that there are no photographs of e.g. Dali in the restaurant. If you like good food in a dignified atmosphere, you will love the 'Ara Cafe'!
