This beautiful little island (or peninsula, depending on tides) called Sjekirica, literally meaning "little axe" after its unusual shape, is a jewel of Brsečine area. It’s situated just north of the Brsečine bay. Its staggering beauty was captioned by number of photos many of which were used by Croatian tourist board as cover photo for number of brochures and campaigns. It’s shallow waters and mild stony coast offer you an opportunity for a really special swimming. It’s accessible from the main road by a small path, a walking that takes only few minutes. Appropriate footwear is mandatory and we recommend having swimming shoes if you have problems with a rocky coastline. If you don't want to walk there, you can just enjoy it from a distance, there is a viewpoint with a parking space in vicinity from where you can take a photo. We recommend doing it during sunset, the views then are more than amazing
