Villanova is one of the four historic districts of Cagliari, also founded in the thirteenth century. You will find it on the east side of the hill on which Castello stands. The whole district is walkable, which will allow you to stroll among typical houses, Aragonese churches and ancient shops. Some elegant boutiques have also nestled in the recently restored streets.

Villanova è uno dei quattro quartieri storici di Cagliari, fondato nel XIII secolo ai piedi del versante est del colle su cui sorge Castello.

Quello che caratterizza questa parte di Cagliari sono sicuramente le strade lunghe e strette come Via Giardini e Via San Giovanni, le vecchie case non hanno più di due piani, e sono curate e ricche di dettagli, ma le vere protagoniste sono le piante che trasformano il rione in una giungla colorata. Villanova è un quartiere estremamente tranquillo e placido, passeggiare per le sue strade permette di soffermarsi sui dettagli, cosa che spesso, nella fretta di tutti i giorni ci scordiamo di fare.
