The museum is housed in a unique building that was the home and studio of the artist. Asmundarsafn is always an exhibition of works Ásmundur who bequeathed a large collection of his work as well as the building after his death. There are regularly held exhibitions of works by other artists in the collection that are often a reference to the artist.

Simply beautiful. Dedicated to the works of Ásmundur Sveinsson (1893-1982), one of the pioneers of Icelandic sculpture, finding inspiration in Icelandic nature and literature
