The town of Palmer Lake is most often described as picturesque and charming. The main "drag" is lined with restaurants, many with live music at night, and the Tri-Lakes Center for The Arts on the west with parks and the lake on the east. Its been said that we are in the top 10 train watching sites in the US because of the variety of engines, payloads, types of cars and graffiti. The lake is open for non-motorized water sports and fishing. Paddle boarding, kayaking, and canoeing are very popular but not to be outdone by the fishing. Picnic areas and a playground are available along with a wonderful Frisbee Golf course that is a favorite destination for those enthusiasts. The Santa Fe Trail runs along the east border of the park and is a great place for a casual walk.

Watch the train go by as you lay out by the lake, listening to the live music of the restaurants play in the background! There's a covered picnic area, playground, bathrooms, and water fountains.

The lake, park and trail are all down the hill from the cabin about a quarter mile. It's a small lake, .8 miles around - paddleboards and kayaks allowed, fishing, a walking trail, playground and disc golf course

Our little lake and our town's namesake. You can paddle board, canoe, kayak and fish, or just walk around the lake.
