Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park is a state park of California, United States, preserving mainly forest and riparian areas in the watershed of the San Lorenzo River, including a grove of old-growth coast redwood. The park offers 30 miles of trails for hikers. Routes are complicated, always take a map with you when hiking.

Beautiful old growth redwoods nestled in the Santa Cruz Mountains. It takes about 1.5 hours to get to this state park. So as usual, I recommend that you plan your day early which means that you should leave in the early AM to secure a parking spot sans hassle. :) Other notable spots: This state park is about a half hour from Swanton Berry Farm in Davenport (U-pick available on weekends! Check their website for more info). And it's also less than half an hour from the Santa Cruz boardwalk. Make sure to bring a jacket. This would be a really fun day trip, guaranteed. :)
