I am not a seafood fan (I think growing up in Kansas may have ruined that possibility), but my girlfriend highly recommends Pa'la for delicious, Mediterranean food . It is less than half a mile away on 24th Street, so you don't have to go far for some great food.

This place was described by Phoenix New Times as, "a temple of simple and elegant wood-fired cooking, highlighting impeccably sourced ingredients." We couldn't agree more - some of the freshest food you'll ever try and the menu is always changing to reflect what's in season.

This is unique new Mediterranean restaurant that is getting some popularity. It is a bit expensive for a lunch, but definitely worth a try.

Chef Claudio Urcioli doing his best casual, seasonal menu with the finest ingredients. Very healthy stuff. He always looks a little grouchy and his flavors pull no punches, but if food is love, this guy is overflowing with it.

If you are flying in to Sky Harbor around lunch time this is an amazing little Italian restaurant only a 10 minute drive from the car rental pick-up, everything is made to order and cooked over fire. Truly a best of Phoenix destination. Note they serve lunch only M-F
