My favorite restaurante is LUVIJI, to the right as you approach the cathedral, a bastion of Hvar tradition and home to the only Hvar Town member of the Hvar Wine Association.

Local family tavern with homemade wine and goat cheese. They grow their own vegetables and every day they cook 3-4 tasty meals which are typical for Hvar town. Great place to escape from the crowd.

Aussie barbecue, and only smoker grill in Hvar... meet is grilled on low temperature in smoker for 8-9 hours. End result is amazing taste and most tender meat you can imagine. Beside having opened this year, they keep prices lower then average for Hvar.
