As you know maybe, April 25th, 1974, at midnight fifteen, the song " Grândola, vila morena " was broadcast on the Radio Portuguese radio Renascença and served as signal to begin the revolution which overthrew the regime 1. It's so associated with the Revolution of carnations and with the restoration of the democracy in Portugal; by this fact April 25th is a holiday in Portugal and Grândola proposes numerous concerts and activities in town.
