My family and I we like to go to Troon. Its a small city with great cost line. Its close to Ardrossan so if you go to Arran you can stop by.

Perfect for a "stroll along the prom, prom, prom", building sandcastles or a paddle. The children's play area is equipped with a pirate ship. Buy ice-creams, buckets and spades at the beachside kiosk.

Nice long clean beach with cafes in the town center, and a short walk to the marina and harbour Scotts restaurant is nice, and for other restaurants.
