I met Mr. Kempf years ago, I loved driving by his place with the kids to see his latest project. His art installation still a fascination.

This is something you don't even have to get out of the car to see, but you can park and get out to get a better look. Go when it's windy to see the sculptures move and spin.

He started making the windmills in 1977. There is no parking in front but there is a pull off across the street. Also there is a parking lot few feet down the road. As I understand, there were more sculptures but the neighbors didn't like the traffic, so a court order made the family take them down. There are still 5 of them still there. There are a couple in downtown Colorado Springs
