The Kokosing Gap Trail is a 14 mile long recreational trail built on a former Pennsylvania Railroad alongside the Kokosing River in east central Ohio. The trail starts in Mount Vernon and goes through Gambier, Howard and ends in Danville, Ohio where you can pick up the Mohican Valley bike trail. Some of the sights you may see along the way are the Bridge of Dreams (Danville) the second longest covered bridge in Ohio. The C&O caboose located in Gambier. As well as many railroad truss bridges.

You can start the trail in Howard, off of State Route 36 or drive into Mount Vernon.

Grab your bike, walking/ running shoes, dog, or skates! The website says: "A paved, 14-mile recreational trail built on a former Pennsylvania Railroad line. Visitors will traverse the Kokosing River on railroad bridges more than 250 feet long with forests, wetlands, agriculture and villages along the way.
