Great place to see local wildlife and see some historic settler homesteads. Good day trip , take the scenic loop to see the whole place there is also a trail head to water fall in the loop . Pack a lunch and stop to eat at the picnic area before the park .

This is the area of the smoky mountain park where's bears are most often spotted. 16.8 miles from where you pick up your gear. A side note-the camp store has some of the very best soft serve ice cream on the planet.
