This is a Palace built in 1912 by Raja Sir Annamalai CHETTIAR, a Native Zamindar of Chettinad, who started the famous Indian Bank and Annamalai University in Chidambaram. It's a family palace for their personal family functions and visitors can admire from outside. It's constructed with imported marbles from Europe and teaks from Burma which make this a luxurious palace comparable to any Imperial Design! Just 35 km from Karaikudi! Remember you might need to get permission if you want to go inside.
