A great place to have a picnic right in the heart of Richmond, or to watch the cricket with a pint on Sundays. c.10 mins walk from the flat.

Large green area for eating picnics. Occasional cricket matches during the summer.

Richmond Green has been an important open space since the Middle Ages when it hosted jousting competitions. The remnants of Richmond Palace can be seen on one side of the Green. Many fine old houses, the central library and the famous Richmond Theatre flank the Green which is also a venue for various festivities throughout the year, including the May Fair and the Victorian Evening at Christmas time.
