Though it's in Mid-City, this is one of my favorites and it's a New Orleans local classic. There are about a dozen local, multi-generational restaurants in New Orleans that everyone just cherishes, and Mandina's is one of them. Creole and Italian comfort food. For dessert, walk over to Angelo Brocato's for ice cream. Old world New Orleans with a little bit of Cajun mixed with a little bit of Italian mixed with a little bit of everything. A favorite with locals and families.
