A gorgeous long walk along a sandspit. Walk the board walks through natve tree identification trails. See native birds, tui, pukeko, kigfishers, morepork, and endagered dotterels and oystercatchers.

Its a bird sanctuary and when the tide is out your can almost but not quite get to Bucklands Beach. Good place to have a picnic and watch the boats coming and going up the Tamaki Estuary
