Best food shopping spot in the region... one of our personal favorites. Great produce and atmosphere... we go mid morning and stay for lunch at the "bistro".

The local famous market Les Halles de Nimes, 1 minute from the building where you can buy exclusive regional meat, cheese, bread, vegetables, fruit, etc., opens daily from: 7 to 13.00 hrs. (see link)

The locals swear by this place. Good for finding local, good quality traditional foods of France and specifically this region. If you're here on a Friday, there's a market along ave Jean Juares that's all the rage too.
