Tips from locals
The BATA bus is a cheap way to get all around the TC area. The Bayliner route is FREE, runs daily from 7am-11pm, with a 12-15 minute frequency. Picks up at 4 mile/US 31 and will take you downtown. Look for a small bus stop sign and blue/green adirondack chairs to mark the pickup/drop off spots.
Bay Area Transportation hub location. There are BATA stops all around downtown, two stops within walking distance to our building location.
Subsidized public transportation. This is a great way to navigate Traverse City. Two bus stops are very close to Snail's Pace. One is at the south entrance to Munson Community Health Center; the other is at East Bay Shopping Plaza. Both are within a few minutes walk.
BATA Bus service runs from Traverse City to Suttons Bay. Buses can accommodate bicycles. $3 fee each way. Ride the TART to Traverse City and take the bus back. Bus stop is at the Suttons Bay Library.
