(10 min, Cascade) This 19-mile, 126 turn drive is not for the faint of heart, but it's kind of a must-do. A summit house offers both history and donuts. This road hosts the country's second oldest automobile race once per year.

Enjoy a beautiful scenic drive to the top of "America's Mountain" to see what inspired the words to "America the Beautiful"! The ride will take you past timberline and thru some Hair raising turns and switchbacks but is well worth it!

Known as Americas highest drive to the top of Pikes Peak mountian. Beautiful drive, tourist shop, donuts, cafe. The Pikes Peak Highway is a 19-mile toll road that runs from Cascade, Colorado to the summit of Pikes Peak in El Paso County, at an altitude of 14,115 feet. It is at least partially open year-round, up to the altitude where snow removal becomes excessively difficult

The most visited mountain in North America and the second most visited mountain in the world behind Japan's Mount Fuji, Pikes Peak forms a stunning backdrop for Woodland Park. Yes the mountain you always see whereever you go in Woodland Park is the same one. At an altitude of 14,115 feet above sea level, Pikes Peak is the 31st highest peak out of 54 Colorado peaks. It is the farthest east of the big peaks in the Rocky Mountain chain, which contributed to its early fame among explorers, pioneers and immigrants and made it the symbol of the 1859 Gold Rush to Colorado with the slogan, "Pikes Peak or Bust".
