George Mortimer West, a writer, promoter, economist, horticulturist, publisher, and entrepreneur, is credited as the founding father of Panama City, developing it into an economically viable city and port on the shores of St. Andrews Bay. He built the Panama City Publishing Company building in 1920, in the heart of historic St. Andrews.

This is a must visit if you have time! They do daily tours of the museum, as well as, a walking tour! There is an incredible amount of history in St. Andrew's and this will be a great way to take it all in!
