Why locals recommend it

Chichén Itzá is a restaurant in a market with several other food stands and little stores. It’s named after one of the seven wonders of the world and Mexico's most visited archaeological site. Their specialty here is Yucatan-style pork. The pork is coated with all these spices, wrapped in banana leaves, and baked in the traditional way on a wood burning grill. It’s probably the best place in LA for Yucatan-style pork. The specialty is the cochinita pibil taco—the authentic, Yucatan-style pork with pickled onions on it. I haven’t had anything like it anywhere else, it’s very good.
