La Mer is Sofitel Bahrain Zallaq Thalassa Sea & Spa’s flagship seafood restaurant. Overlooking the vivid blues of the Arabian Gulf – where much of its fresh fish is caught – award-winning La Mer allows guests to select their meal from the fish market-style display before watching it being cooked before their eyes. A well known name among tourists and locals alike, La Mer offers something for everyone. Stand out dishes include salmon with black olives, truffle oil, capers and mussels, while duck and lamb also feature on the menu as well. For desserts, be sure not to miss the chocolate dome with its melt-in-the-mouth inner filling as well as the berry pavlova with coulis.
