Located on the West Ridge of the University of Alaska campus. Self-guided tour available. The institute maintains an informational website with the aurora forecast; search their site to see if the aurora will be active during your]fall, winter or spring visit to Fairbanks. www.gi.alaska.edu/AuroraForecast

Do a computer search here to see if the Aurora Forecast lines up with your visit dates: Block off a time in your stay to look for the Aurora - the time and dates the bars show red - then there is high likely hood you can see the Aurora when the sky is dark and clear!
