Old Ghoom Monastery is one of the second oldest Monastery in Darjeeling, and it is also known as Yiga Choeling Monastery. The monastery is belong to the Gelukpa and it's known for it's 15 feet(4.6m) high statue of the Maitreya Buddha.The external structure of building was established in 1850 by Mongolian astrologer.
