Tips from locals
Stevens Institute, built in 1870 by a family of inventors and engineers upon the highest point of Hoboken (a popular vantage point) was the first US college dedicated to mechanical engineering.
This on-campus look-out point is the best views of the Hudson River and of NYC anywhere!!
You will have a great view of the Verrazano Bridge to the south, NYC to the east, Freedom Tower, the Empire State building and many other NYC sites. The Hudson River is right below you and you can see all different size boats, barges, and sail boats going by.
