Why locals recommend it
Mexican food with a San Francisco flair. The duck tacos, goat barbacoa tacos, mango crudo, and cheese empanadas are some of my favorites. Their cocktails are mezcal-focused, and as unique and creative as the food. The Piñata is the best drink on the menu, but there is an even better drink off the menu: Ask the bartender for a mezcal Old Fashioned. It will blow your hair back — and blow your mind.

This place serves delicious, high-end Mexican food. The tortillas and sopes are made with fresh masa. Excellent cocktails, specializing in agave (tequila and mezcal). This place serves dinner only, but has our favorite brunch on Saturday and Sundays.

Padrecito is a sit-down restaurant and has some great food, but you're really coming here for the drinks. They make a wide range (for a neighborhood bar) of great cocktails. Great ambiance as well.
