Perfect for a couple or small family. The cottage is 32m2, with a large terrace, great views of Vestmannsvatn. The cottage has one bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom and a combined living room and kitchen. The living room has a sofa bed for 2 and a flat screen TV. On the terrace there is a hot tub, a large outdoor table with 6 chairs. Smoking is prohibited in the house. The cottage comes with a rowboat that can be used at your own risk. If you have a fishing license, you can fish in the water. 27 km to Húsavík and 60 km to Akureyri.

The location is extraordinary as it has breathtaking view, abundant bird-life, spectacular nature and wildlife, country comfort and urban activities and service in town. Walking paths are along the lakes and to surrounding places. Minimum rental is 2 nights.

The room America is with a two twin beds, working table and reading lamps. The bed sheets are white and soft. The down pillows are good but if you need extra pillows we provide them down, polyester or Wellpur. The bathrooms are two, sheared for 6 rooms. One downstairs few steps away and the second one upstairs. The hot tub outside the kitchen is always open and 40 degrees Celsius. If you need something ask for it is our motto. We provide bath towels and robes for the hot tub.

The house is renovated charming farmhouse in a quiet area only 50 meters from the river Skjálfandafljót. This area has a unique spirit where it is easy to relax in the nature. We will focus on letting our guests feel welcome in a friendly and relaxing atmosphere created by the host family.

Hamrar Farm Apartment

The studio apartment is newly renovated in the basement of our house. You enter a room with two beds ( one 160 cm bed and one 90 cm bed) in the other room is kitchen and bathroom. Me and my familie live on the second floor. We are on a farm and have horses, sheeps, chickens and a dog We are also near by many interesting places, about 30 km from Mývatn, 35 km from Húsavík, 15 km from Goðafoss watefall.
