A Truly Magical Stay in a Traditional Kerala Home I had an unforgettable experience staying at this beautiful traditional Kerala home, built around 30 years ago. The moment I stepped in, it felt like walking into a classic Malayalam movie—surrounded by lush greenery, with the charm and character of old Kerala architecture. The atmosphere is incredibly peaceful and nostalgic. The house itself is well-maintained and full of warmth, with wooden interiors and vintage touches that transport you to a different era. The surrounding area is simply breathtaking—everywhere you look, there's green. Mango trees of various types line the property, and during my stay, I could even pluck and enjoy some fresh ones right from the trees! Tucked away in the woods, this 120+ year old Kerala Tharavadu-style house offers a quaint, no-frills getaway from the city's hustle and bustle. The resort's rustic charm is beautifully preserved, with minimal essential upgrades that maintain its authenticity. Take a stroll through the woods and discover the serene river, perfect for a refreshing bath. The real star of the show is Manager George, who went above and beyond to make us feel at home. From waking us up for a river visit to arranging a massive dinner delivery, George's hospitality was exceptional. While the resort has an open kitchen, we recommend exploring local eateries, like the nearby Chaaya Kada for breakfast, and ordering lunch/dinner from KPM Residency. *Note: 3rd bedroom in outhouse*.
