Jay and Shauna are amazing hosts. They are both lovely, friendly people, helpful with any information you are seeking, offer amazing suggestions for dining, places to shop, activities to do, ways to get around, and so much more. We loved staying at their airbnb, it is in a perfect location, a fruit and vegetable stand is right next door, kayaks are at the house for your use, Jay picked us up from teh airport and took us to a great coffee shop for breakfast while they goit the house ready since we flew in early. Every time of texted Jay he responded so quickly and always provided a wealth of information about whatever it was I was asking before we arrived. We were traveling a great distance and I had a number of questions and Jay was so helpful. Thank you your house is lovely and we had a wonderful time. We hope to visit Fiji again and stay at the airbnb.

This home stay was the best home stay I’ve ever stayed in I would recommend 100%. Living really in Fijian village everyone was so welcoming and nice, they went out of there way to make us feel at home. The activities they offer were authentic and very interactive. We really felt part of the village once we left, first time for us to get such an authentic experience in a home stay. Also the dive sites of rainbow reef and the white wall 30 minutes dive away and the village can arrange transport very easily. Their cooking was very tasty! Real fijian food, from the farm! Also the reef in the bay in front of the village was breathtaking it is an untouched paradise here! Suggestion: buy anything you want from the store before getting here, it’s a far away paradise! The bus stop is by the village, very easy, just say Vure Vure village! They were waiting for us there! Our hosts were truly amazing.

The stay with Mila went well for us. Mila's family is extremely kind and welcoming, the accommodation is very clean and the dinners are excellent. The family showed us their daily life, we were able to participate in some activities like crab hunting or coconut milk preparation. We were greeted with flower necklaces at the airport and coconuts upon arrival as cocktails. The listing is new to Airbnb, so some improvements are needed, like mosquito screens or access to wifi permanently. Mila's family also offers to accompany their guests on tours of the island which is very convenient if you don't have any organized activities. We took advantage of it, but the prices remain quite high. There is also access to a paradisiacal beach a few minutes walk from the house. I would definitely recommend Mila's place and the vibe of this lovely family.
A vibrant blue tent is set up in a grassy area, surrounded by fallen leaves. A fluffy dog stands in front of the tent, with a backdrop of a building featuring several dark windows. Lush greenery is visible around the scene.

Nature's Heaven BnB

I travelled with bus and ferry to reach the island as instructed and took the taxi to reach their bnb. I was expected and welcomed by the friendly hosts with their loving dogs and cat. I was walked around their land and house and i felt immediately very comfortable during my stay. The prepared food was super. No restaurant can beat this fresh and dilcious food. I was free to use the kitchen with all the spices. The bed is a double bed and was perfect for me with a good matras, not too soft and not too firm. The bed room has 2 lights. The location is so beautiful, just everything that nature provides. Overall this is well chosen truly Heaven.
A private room is nestled among lush tropical foliage, with expansive glass doors offering views of the surrounding landscape. Two chairs are positioned on the wooden deck, and a mailbox is visible near the entrance, accentuating the welcoming atmosphere of the property.

Tides Reach Beachfront Villa #2

We stayed at Tides Reach Resort for the second week of our honeymoon in August 2023 and it was great! Resort was small and private, beach had great access to a reef infront to snorkel and many resources to go out to further sites. Staff were so friendly and went the extra mile while always showing Fijian friendliness! Cannot say enough about all the wonderful staff from Niu, Percy, Manasa, Maria, George, and every other person we met! Nice to have the resort to yourself sometimes as it is quite small. Lots of offsite trips on Taveuni to see waterfalls, local villages and towns, and diving and snorkeling right next door at Salt Diver which was very professional. A few minor things that could be improved would be the lighting in the bathrooms was an odd very white light and quite dim, the bathroom could use a fan as well, the safe did not work but never was a concern. Otherwise the room was as shown and always kept tidy by the staff magically while we were away from it.

Raitotoka - Barrel 2

I had a pleasant stay at Philip's place. He was kind enough to give me a ride to/from the airport and Amoreena (who works for Philip) handles most of the logistics, was responsive and caring. Amoreena arranged tours for me and also cooked a personalized dinner one night (I had asked for marinated fish). The breakfast was scrumptious with freshly baked bread and local fruit. The place was clean and infinity pool, especially during sunset is not to be missed. Taveuni was definitely a slower vibe compared to Yasawa Islands where I had just been previously. I enjoyed the change in place and how friendly all of the locales were.
A panoramic view captures the expansive blue ocean meeting the horizon, framed by gentle waves and lush greenery along the coastline. A tranquil bay is visible, surrounded by hills, under a clear sky scattered with soft clouds.
