The bus from Toyama Station is 15 minutes. The house is 5-6 minutes from Toyama IC by car, and there are many restaurants along the road. You can get to Toyama Station in 15 minutes to the north and Takayama in 90 minutes to the south on National Route 41. Toyama Airport is 3 km from the house and can be reached in 5 minutes.

You can go for a walk in the fields and on a clear day, you will see panoramic view of the beautiful Tateyama mountain range.

Kusa no Niwa | 100-Year Machiya Lodge in Takayama

Kusa no Niwa is a traditional Japanese-style house with a courtyard and corridors that was built more than 130 years ago. The entire house with a size of 100 square meters will be lent privately to a single group with a maximum capacity of 6 persons. You will find a fusuma, a sliding door with a paper panel, painted by a famous Japanese Painter, which can be also found in the Taue’s House, an Important Cultural Property, located in Nyukawa Town.
