Hidden paradise just a short walk to the beach.

Shalpa is a bay with a lot of history, and this house is part of its foundation. It was in the hands of the same family for over 40 years, and the new owners (family friends) have renovated the entire property. The house is in the heart of the jungle two blocks from the sea (7 minutes walk), a spacious and beautiful house, with nice gardens, giant trees, with recreation and relaxation areas: Swimming pool, patio, terraces, ranches, hammocks, grill, etc. Flora and fauna abound in the area.

There is a large charcoal grill (pick up charcoal on the way or purchase teak firewood at the property) as well as a fully stocked kitchen with pots, pans, and serving ware for a large group (we do not provide oil, salt, sugar, coffee, spices etc).

This was my favorite stay of a 40 day trip. It exceeded all my expectations. The place truly felt like a community and I was so comfortable there. I could have stayed a few months if I had the time. I can not recommend any more highly

I was okay with what I saw in the pictures. When I got to the place I wasn’t as happy as I was initially. However, I spoke with Jerson the note manager, I told him I wanted water front view. He didn’t hesitated to move us to another place that was also owned by the same company. I was beyond happy and grateful for him. He made my experience unforgettable. The staff was nice and friendly. Always accommodating and helpful. I highly recommend doing business with Carlos. Elsy

This place looks exactly like the photos. Beautiful pool and beach access where you can actually swim in without rocks. We had the best breaded shrimp we’ve ever had here 🍤 the staff is wonderful and pitufo is the sweetest dog you’ll meet. We can’t wait to come back!

This place was absolutely exquisite, by far one of the best Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in! The view is everything and more, truly breathtaking. The house is fully equipped with everything you might need. While there’s no AC, it stays cool with the windows open and a fan if needed. I actually got chilly some nights! I do recommend keeping the doors closed after sunset, as the lights can attract bugs, but it was never an issue for me and didn’t affect my experience at all. Ruth, who tended to the pool daily, was incredibly sweet and attentive. The entire place is serene, peaceful, and the perfect getaway. I’d come back in a heartbeat!

We absolutely loved everything about this place! The home was beautiful, peaceful, and perfectly located—just minutes from several incredible surf breaks. It was the perfect spot to relax between sessions. The host went above and beyond to make our stay seamless. They helped arrange airport transport, shared great food and surf recommendations, and even coordinated a mid-week cleaning which was a huge bonus. Communication was easy and super responsive throughout. We’d absolutely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a quiet, great base camp near the waves—and we’ll definitely be back!
