Our house is located in Sankubocho, historically the city's wholesale district. Our guesthouse is a large 100-year old wholesaler house. We hope to connect travelers, neighbors, and passers-by to nice places and shops in town, and share the history and traditions of the city.

Our private room features 1 or 2 futon beds on traditional tatami floors. The shared areas include bathrooms, dining space and a work/lounge/library area. The hostel Saruya Hostel opened in 2015 in Fujiyoshida, a city at the bottom of Mt Fuji. We renovated an 80 years old wooden house to create a place that allows our guests to experience time and space through carefully selected art, design and objects, mixing traditional Japanese inspiration with modern aesthetics.
