The drive to the Quinta was interesting and a little harrowing at times! The GPS in my rental car was absolutely necessary in order to find the address. Upon arrival, the front desk person was very friendly. He checked me in promptly and showed me to my room. The view of the river Duoro from the room was incredible! The decor in the room/house was antique and eclectic, which made it fun to explore. My room had two twin beds, and they were quite firm, but not uncomfortable. The house is tucked into the hillside and surrounded by vines, plants, and flowers. The pool did not appear to cleaned for the summer, but the weather was quite cool, so it didn’t matter much to me. There are no restaurants nearby, so you should plan to eat at the Quinta. The dinner I had was a traditional cod and potato dish that was really delicious. The portions were large and I couldn’t eat everything, even though I wanted to! A continental style breakfast was included in the stay.

This is a lovely place to stay amongst the vines. The views are incredible and the villa is so very clean and comfortable. We have never stayed at a place that offers such generous breakfast provisions. They are truly outstanding. The complementary wine is delicious as is the bread, delivered each morning. We also enjoyed the informative wine tasting. Thank you for a fabulous stay.

This is a great little place, mainly because of its location, views!!! and infinity swimming pool. The flat itself is functional and nothing special, but perfectly fine. The view from most of the windows is however to die for, looking down a classic Douro valley. The location is nice and quiet, as it’s up the valley, about 15 mins from “the Douro hub” of Pinhau (Pinhão) and 10 min from Tabuaco. André is helpful; however, it would be helpful to have guidance (manual) on a few things in the house such as TV (that was initially not working) and that there is for instance a little tweak to look the front door. The cleaning lady was very sweet and helpful, she also checked that everything is in order with and around the pool.
