Glacier stay

Jökla Gisting is located in a quiet place surrounded by glaciers and beautiful nature, 11 km from Höfn. In winter, the air and colors are incredibly crisp, and the Northern Lights are a common sight in the area. We offer accommodation in three houses that are fully equipped with everything guests need. Wild reindeer sometimes visit and roam in the peaceful nature nearby. The glacier attracts people, and there are various glacier tours available nearby. Sledding, hiking, and ice cave tours are popular.

Neðribær apartment 2. 28km from the Glacier Lagoon

At the heart of Vatnajökull National Park, and only a short drive from the world famous Glacier lagoon,Jökulsárlón (28km) is Neðribær apartment. Neðribær is in a 2 apartment house with private entrance. Many activities in the area such as snowmobiling, glacier jeeps and glacier walk adventure on Europe´s largest glacier, kayaking, puffins tours, boat tours, ice cave tours (winter) and horseback riding. Cosy 3-bedroom cottage with stunning views

Our summer house is located in a magnificent area, in the Vatnajökull National Park, just 100 m from the Ring Road. Views of the surrounding mountains can be enjoyed from the summerhouse. Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, one of the biggest tourist attractions in Iceland, is only 40 km away. Another attraction include Heinabergsjökull, an exquisitely beautiful lagoon which is less touristy than Jökulsárlón. Vestrahorn mountain, close by Höfn, have a beauty which is breathtaking.

Haukaberg House

Our house is located in a quiet residential area, a cozy and bright house made from wood. We offer comfortable beds and quality bedding. The kitchen is fully equipped and you should be able to find everything you need. In our area you can find guided glacier and riding tours. You could visit Vestrahorn and go to the Hot tubs in Hoffell. Other fascinating places that we recommend are Fláajökull, Heinabergsjökull and Hoffellsjökull. Suitable for big groups / families.

This property is 16 miles / 25 km from Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. The next town with groceries and gas stations is 34 miles / 55 km and is called Höfn í Hornafirði.

The house is located about 3km from Höfn, overlooking mountains and glaciers. Ideal for families or those traveling together. The houses can accommodate four adults. One child under 12 years stays free of charge when using existing beds. Free wifi is available on-site.
