This was one of those rare, magical Airbnb stays that you hope for but rarely find. Everything about it was perfect—from the incredibly responsive and welcoming host to the luxurious, well-appointed home that had every comfort and convenience you could imagine. The views alone are worth the trip—breathtaking greenery spilling over the mountainside, visible from nearly every window, especially the expansive ones at the back of the house. As someone who loves cooking and hosting, I was thrilled with the fully stocked kitchen—every appliance, tool, and beautifully curated dish and glassware made it a joy to prepare meals. And the peace... it was next-level tranquility. Over our four-day stay, we saw only a handful of other people in town—it felt like our own private retreat. I truly can't recommend this place highly enough. It's the kind of stay that sticks with you long after you’ve left.

The house was lovely and presented well as a very authentic home of a famous writer, but tastefully modernised. Good facilities and a lovely view and location. We can definately recommend this place.

This villa in Midvagur is truly a beautiful work of art overlooking the water. It was very comfortable for our family of 6 and provided a perfect home base for exploring all the islands. Every room was spotless. The chefs kitchen was a true joy to cook meals and entertain. The soaking tub and rain drop shower were amazing after a very long day of hiking. ABSOLUTELY no worries about enough hot water for everyone. The supply was endless for 6 baths/showers, washing lots and lots of dishes, loads of laundry and it just kept coming. At the end of the day the beds were so comfortable and inviting that we all fell fast asleep with dreams of the next days adventures. We made many cherished memories that will last a lifetime! I encourage others to come visit Gunnar and Helga who are superior hosts who go out of their way to make your visit exceptional.

True luxury in Faroe Islands. The extra space was great to have with 2 little kids. The home is very well curated with beautiful art. The super automated espresso machine was so nice to have, especially with jet lag! The host is super responsive and helpful. The view and location are amazing as well.
