Good opportunity for mountain trips, both easy and more demanding. Best suited for 2, or a small family. The house is from the 1800s, but renovated and new bathroom with shower in 2017. Formerly a granary, but housing since 1946, and has retained some of the original character. Equipped for simple cooking, with a stove. Refrigerator and freezer. If you are lucky you can also experience cruise ships, royal ships and large sailing ships, passing by. Sandhornøy has a rich wildlife and just outside the lake house you can experience both moose, deer, hare, otter, eagle and grouse. In summer, Finnvikhaugen is the perfect place to experience the midnight sun and in winter you can experience the Northern Lights. There are great hiking trails and the possibility for mountain hikes.

Stay in a newly renovated school

Idyllic Storvik is a small village on the far side of the Nordland coast in the middle between Saltstraumen and Svartisen. The surroundings are sea, mountains, sandy beach and fishing waters. Here you can stay in the old village school that we in the family have transformed into a modern apartment. There are several marked hiking trails in the area. They range from very easy, to more advanced trips for real "mountain goats". If you prefer to relax on the beach and enjoy nature from a distance, it is perfectly possible from the 1.5 km long sandy beach.

The home is located in idyllic Storvik, directly by the 1.5 km long Storvik beach and only 50 m from the sea. The surroundings are sea, mountains, sandy beach and fishing waters. Here you can enjoy an active holiday with mountain trips, paddling, swimming or cycling. If you just want to relax, the large terrace is perfect for sunbathing and barbecuing or just relaxing with a good book. Here you have everything you need for a comfortable vacation. If the weather is bad, you have panoramic views of the natural elements from the inside.

Recharge your batteries at this unique and tranquil place to stay. Brand new made annex that is all up to today's standard. There is both a stove, hob, fridge, TV as well as a sofa bed. Brand new bathroom with toilet and shower. Unfortunately no public transport available but is free parking space. Here, you have everything you need, from bedding to towels. Just walk right in, relax, and enjoy yourself ☺️ There is also a campfire pan that you can enjoy using ☺️ If you are lucky, you can get a glimpse of the northern lights :)

Daily connection with the mainland by ferry or local boat to/from Ørnes and express boat to/from Bodø/Sandnessjøen. You may observe the amazing Northern Light from September.
