Vacation rentals with a kayak in Stonington

This was a fabulous destination! We were looking for a big place to have a special anniversary party weekend with extended family, and this house had everything we needed. Plenty of bedrooms upstairs and first floor, many common gathering areas, large kitchen and dining room tables, and lots of Space. (And this doesn't even include the explorable property outside.) The dozens of photos in the listing were very helpful, as well as the detailed descriptions. We had specific needs for elderly relatives with disabilities, and owner Lynne was so responsive in her replies to my many messages with varied questions. Truly, Lynne, you deserve a gold star from Airbnb for promptness and offering up ways and help that made our stay both easier and fulfilling.

The best Airbnb I’ve ever been to! We stayed here for my daughter’s graduation from URI and I only wish I stayed here before her four years in Rhode Island were over. Hoping to find another reason to be in this area so I can return to this beautiful home.

Perfect location and accommodations for extended family to stay for a college graduation weekend! Clean, spacious and well appointed. Nice views and enjoyed using the kayaks on the bay. Garon’s responsiveness and communication were excellent.

We stayed at The Farmhouse over our Christmas holiday. It was a perfect, cozy cottage with a warm and comfortable interior. The fireplace was fantastic. My husband, our dog, our children, and their partners all had a comfortable, relaxing holiday in a beautiful location very close to my husband's family's home in North Stonington. We loved it and plan to stay there again on our next visit.

The house was beautiful and scenery breathtaking. We loved watching the ice fishing, skating and go carting on the lake! We even went out on the frozen lake! It was close to my daughter’s home in Voluntown…. Only 4 minutes away! The kitchen was well stocked and we had everything we needed. They went above and beyond as we were there to celebrate my granddaughters’ first birthday! They left a gift for her and some welcome gifts for us too! Amazing!! They brought a table and chairs for extra seating!! Phil and Staci were amazing hosts and always responsive. We would definitely consider staying here again.

From the kayaks to the coffee, our stay was glorious! I loved waking up every morning to the gorgeous view of the Niantic River. The indoor and outdoor spaces were comfortable and there are so many amenities. Location is perfect- a short walk to the boat dock and back entrance to the Oswegatchie Hill Trail. Great little house. Very well stocked and very clean. High quality all around! Little beach area is very rocky so not for lounging but a great launch point for small boats. Water in the area is very calm. Neighborhood is very quiet and cute with lots of amenities.

I would give the Cottage 6 stars if I could! The place is really magical - every detail is so meticulously selected and beautiful inside and the location is so picturesque. My only complaint was the weather during my stay: it was chilly and rainy most days and we weren’t able to spend as much time outdoors as I would have liked. Steve and Dean were the most amazing hosts. They were so helpful and quick to assist. My in laws traveled with us and they were also blown away with the Cottage and care!

We had a wonderful stay at Leann’s! The home was absolutely lovely—clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated. The amenities were just what I needed for a relaxing getaway. Leann was a great host, and we truly can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend!

This was the ideal location for my husband and me to spend the holidays with our family who live across the lake. Will and John gave us a warm, friendly welcome and Quinn also checked in to make sure we settled in and had everything needed for a comfy cozy stay. It was easy to communicate with everyone and the location felt peaceful and private but not isolated. I can't imagine a more ideal experience and cannot thank Quinn enough for making this stay the best ever we've had with Airbnb!

Truly a gem! House was better than described. Perfect for our family weekend. Close to Mohegan Sun for activities but far from the bustle. Love the decor and the thoughtful touches. Lots of space for everyone to spread out. Would rebook if we are returning to the area.

Nice little spot with boats on the pond. Went there for my son’s Wesleyan graduation and could take family out on the kayaks.

What a wonderful and peaceful location! Doreen was very responsive and exceptionally helpful. The pictures are spot with a very clean and well stocked home. Amazing views from the bedroom and second floor deck. Amazing place to fish, kayak, and just enjoy the scenery! Enjoyed hiking nearby, great food in the area and a very scenic location to relax.

Meghan's place is exactly as posted it is absolutely beautiful, cozy, comfortable and did I say beautiful? one of my favorite things to do was sit in front of the big windows and read. You have everything you can think of close, at least 4 to 6 minutes away. There are restaurants, super market and pharmacies. But if you are like me and also like to cook sometimes on vacation the kitchen was equipped with everything you need. Highly, highly recommend.

Clean and cozy cabin. Close to Mystic without being right in the thick of it. We enjoyed a night by the fire with a friendly local fisherman. It worked nicely for our short trip to the area.

Paul was a wonderful host! He was great with communication, proactive, and accommodating. The cabin was beautiful and awesome location right on the marina. We would highly recommend to our family and friends!

Marilyn’s place was great! Very peaceful. Lake access was awesome. Warm neighborhood. The kitchen was a bit tricky to navigate, but Marilyn had detailed instructions. We enjoyed our stay. I would recommend Marilyn’s place.

This was a weekend getaway for our anniversary. We were pleasantly surprised with the quiet and peaceful surroundings. Everything is exactly like the pictures. The neighbors had a large party and we did not hear a thing inside the cabin! It rained most of the days but we were very comfortable. If you love nature, you will love this place. Bring your hiking boots and your binoculars for bird watching. There are several ponds nearby for fishing and you may consider visiting the local wineries. Hope to come back again!

Had a great time in this peaceful wonderful setting. Saw and heard maybe 40 bird species. (Using Merlin app). Frogs and turtles too!everything we needed! Beds are very comfortable!

This house was fantastic! It had absolutely everything we could possibly need. This is actually my first time in all my air bnb stays that I have no suggestions on what more could be provided. Each little thing that I could use was already at my disposal. The house was immaculate and mere steps away from the beach.

This cabin was a wonderfully cozy stay for my group. One thing to note is the cabin is on a shared property with other buildings, including the sauna. The lake was beautiful and the Finnish Sauna next to the lake was a very unique touch that I'm glad we got to experience. Angela was a great host and provided clear communication on how to get to the cabin and check in/out. The cabin was compact but had all the bedding fit into it and even a bench inside. The fridge, microwave, and stovetop were all welcome additions to the cabin as well and we never had an issue with electricity. Definitely check this place out if the amenities interest you and you are passing through Connecticut.

We spent a long weekend at Dennis’ place and it was nothing short of amazing. Our aim was to relax and enjoy the lake, and we did just that. The house was exactly as described, matched and exceeded our expectations; furnished and the kitchen had everything we needed and more. If we’re back in CT, we won’t hesitate to book the house again!
