Die Villa und ihr Garten sind äußerst liebevoll gestaltet. Dank der tollen Restaurierung und Gestaltung von Oliver und Szilvia strahlt das Haus seine Historie (Palast der Prinzessin Salme-Emily Ruete) förmlich aus. Hinzu kommt die fürsorgliche und liebe Art von Szilvia, die unseren Aufenthalt so angenehm, wie möglich machte. Ihre landestypische Küche war klasse, zumal man sich hier am Ort nur schlecht selbst versorgen kann. Das Zimmer der Prinzessin (Suite) bietet einen sagenhafte Blick auf das Meer und das Treiben der dortigen Fischer. Das Bett ist sehr bequem, was in Sansibar nicht immer so ist... Alles in allem eine ganz einmalige Erfahrung und ein echtes AirBnB, weil es ein privates Anwesen ist. Hilfreich und auch sehr sympathisch war Ahmed, der von dort aus unsere Fahrten zum Airport gemacht hat, aber auch Touren aller Art anbietet. Silke und Burkhard

Host welcomed me at the appointed time and showed me round the property, talked me through things to do, we swapped phone numbers to be able to stay in touch in case communication was needed. Nice, friendly personality, excellent English.

Szylvia, die Gastgeberin war sehr um alle Gäste bemüht, sie kocht wunderbar und hat uns einheimische Speisen nähergebracht.Sie spricht deutsch und wir haben uns wunderbar unterhalten ,auch mit den anderen Gästen. Die Ausflüge und Transfers haben wir mit Achmeds Reiseservice abgewickelt und Szilvia hat alles koordiniert. Sie haben uns sehr gut geholfen, als unser Gepäck 4Tage im anderen Hotel an der Ostküste nicht ankam und wir schon am verzweifeln waren. Die Lage und Aussicht ist herrlich, man muß aber vorher schon wissen, das der "Sultanspalast"von der Substanz alt und dem Meerwasser ausgesetzt ist und das der Strand der Fischer nicht mit den weißen Sandstränden von Mnumbi vergleichbar ist.

Beklentilerimi karşıladı, Mrs çok ilgili, en ufak sorunu hemen çözmeye çalışıyor. Oturma alanı, tv, wifi çok iyi. Evin tek eksi tarafı uzak olması. Mrs’ nin tavsiyesiyle gelen taksi şoförü uygun fiyata yardımcı oluyor. Zanzibara tekrar gelirsem yine burayı tercih ederim.

Die Unterkunft bietet Betten in einem Schlafsaal an, sodass man sich im Zweifel mit anderen Menschen die Unterkunft teilt. Die Nähe zur Fähre und zentrale Lage in Stone Town ergeben ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis

The House of Royals will be my go-to whenever I’m on the island. It’s historical charm, scenic balcony, and serene gardens were a dream. Your just steps from the beach. The rooms were clean and wonderfully curated. While there is no AC, there are several fans, windows, and the rooms themselves stay cool. We had no issues. Although our booking was last minute, Szilvia was very responsive and went above and beyond to ensure that all of our needs were met, arranging transportation and helping coordinate our activities on the island (via Ahmed the best guide you will ever meet). There is an option to have meals here. I recommend you do at least once. We had breakfast and dinner for the duration of our stay. It was FANTASTIC — authentic, fresh, locally sourced, and always delicious. Szilvia made us feel at home. Highly recommended — 10/10!

This former palatial villa of the Omani royal family is well preserved with an extensive garden and breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean, especially from the windows of the spacious Princess Salme Suite, complete with large Smart TV for streaming. The antique appeal is evident once you first step in to the House. One feels as if they have been transported 170 years back in time to 1855. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating to us so that we felt like royalty ourselves. A big Asante Sana to Chef Abdullah & Housekeeper Mwajuma for catering to our every need and request. Chef works wonders in the kitchen to deliver creatively prepared, mouthwatering, hotel quality meals made from the fresh local ingredients. We personally enjoyed the following dishes upon request: pweza wa nazi (coconut octopus curry with coconut rice), chicken pilau, kuku kienyeji salad and the beef mishkaki (shish kebabs). Breakfast: Swahili pancakes & vitumbua are a must try, with freshly made chai masala!

Ina et Msuli sont des hôtes très agréables, prévenants et disponibles pour faciliter le séjour. Toujours de bon conseil, ils nous ont aidé à organiser nos activités en nous proposant des personnes de confiance, notamment lorsque l'un de nous a été malade. La maison est agréable et les personnes employées sont charmantes, toujours prêtes à rendre service. Un excellent séjour !

Raphael’s heritage building is stunning, though as we arrived late in the evening and checked ourselves in (via the keybox) we didn’t discover all the rooms and facilities until the housekeeper arrived the next morning - when we were enchanted by the airiness and elegance of all the upstairs rooms and, especially, the secret garden with beautifully restored and shaded courtyard and pool. The February climate being extremely hot and humid, it was a perfect refuge from the heat of the day; and also very peaceful despite the house being located on the vibrant seafront. The location is perfect for exploring the historic heart of Stone Town, with numerous atmospheric places to eat and drink virtually in the doorstep. Raphael was very responsive to our email queries before and during our stay. Although some of the bedrooms (all on the ground floor) have a disconcertingly damp smell, the room which had been prepared for us was fine; and the aircon was very effective and hugely appreciated.

Wow I don’t even know where to start! This was truly one of the best Airbnbs I’ve stayed in Zanzibar. As an Airbnb property this one completely exceeded my expectations. It offers amazing value for money.I had such a peaceful time watching the sunset and listening to the sound of the waves. As for the kids words can’t even describe it they had the time of their lives, especially enjoying the infinity pool. I only wish we had booked a longer stay, but unfortunately, it was time to head home. I will definitely be coming back to this home away from home. Having visited Zanzibar several times, I can confidently say that it’s hard to find a place like this near town with full AC, reliable WiFi, fully equipped kitchen. We even made lovely breakfasts for the kids. Bonus: it’s just 5 mins from the airport and only 15 mins to Stone Town. Truly worth every penny.And as for Mohammed what a kind gentleman. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. I recommend this

Really great stay at this apartment, boutique feel and just like the photos. The complex where the property is situated is big but the host is easy to reach via message , phone call and inbox. Cleaner service every couple of days was a bonus. I stayed here with my family and was very happy and safe.

Excellent séjour chez Ina et Msuli, cadre idyllique, jardin tropical avec sable blanc, piscine privée (la maison est divisée en 3 logements) et terrasse en bord de mer. Nous avons adoré la situation, la plage de Pongwe est magnifique et encore très préservée, les activités sont dépendantes de la marée, baignade, observation des étoiles de mer, balade sur la plage, .. avec de très bon resto autour. Nous avons adoré les 3 jours passés là bas.

Exactly as described and met our needs perfectly. Great communication and flexibility from the host when our plans changed slightly due to travel disruptions.

The place is nice and looks the same as description and the photos. Tranquil place. Nice view to the ocean and clean. Guests must bring food to cook or ready cooked as there arent nearby restaurant. The place is good for a family as the space is enough. There was no internet connection but the owner informed us about this on the process to connect
