Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in South Kona

Literally paradise! Cottage (Rainbow Cottage) was super clean and provided what was needed. Grounds are meticulously kept, was able to take walks in the morning and even though other cottages were occupied, rarely ran into anyone else. Did enjoy the greeting of a friendly dog once in awhile. Perfect location to get away and be one with nature. Close enough to Pāhoa town and great location to be able to drive to Hilo and Volcanoes National Park. I visit the area at least once a year, no need to look for any other place to stay. Beautiful and peaceful location. Watch gorgeous sunsets with panaromic voews pf the ocean right from the deck! Great snorkeling close by if you're comfortable getting in from rocks. Private pool to enjoy when you've had enough salt water for the day.

Beautiful home and property, comfortable, the cleanest place we have ever stayed in. Attention to detail throughout the home. Host was friendly and responsive, we plan to stay at this location again in the future.

Annette’s place was so peaceful and relaxing. It is further away from the touristy areas, but was exactly what we were looking for. It was about an hour drive to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, which is where we spent most of our time! This was a great place to relax and unwind after island hopping and staying in busier areas. My husband is into astrophotography and the night sky was amazing. We loved spending time star gazing on the porch. Definitely recommend staying here if you are looking to get away from the more crowded areas!

We had some great days. Nathan and Christina reply really quick, always friendly and were also flexible enough to help us when we needed some changes in our dates. The place is in a local neighborhood, so you feel really more like living in the island than just being in a touristic area - but you are also a short drive from everything. The location is over a hill, so you have an amazing view. The yard/garden around the property is covered with nature, was really nice to see again some tropical plants like in our homecountry. The house had everything we needed for the stay, including beach stuff. Wifi worked pretty well. The house have a very good cross-ventilation and a lot of fans around, it may warm up a little bit in the afternoon - nothing bad - but was chilly during the rest of day and night, and this is the standard across Hawaii. Great place if you want to experience like living there, we loved and should certainly return :)

Our 10-day stay at Chow & Tom’s place was wonderful. We absolutely wish we could have stayed longer and hope to stay here again in the future. The place was just like the photos. The porch is amazing and has a range of seating types. There are screens for all doors leading outside. Most days there was enough wind to keep lurking mosquitoes at bay when outside. We only encountered a couple of mosquito bites during our stay - a win as I’m normally covered in bites when visiting Hawaii. The kitchen is well stocked and has most anything you need for cooking. We cooked everyday with ease. Chow & Tom were quick to respond when we had questions & offered suggestions for places to visits. Check-in and check-out were easy and flexible. The wifi was good enough to support remote work (but recommend staying there to relax not work). If you’re looking for a place to unplug and decompress and to connect with a more local Hawaii, look no further.

Great place to stay. The house was clean and super comfortable with all the amenities in excellent condition. You can hear the neighbors downstairs if there happens to be guess staying at the same time because the whole structure is wood and off the ground and the sound carries. It’s something to be aware of, however the place is while worth it. The outside deck is as wonderful as the rest of the house. Very happy with the experience.

This place is a secluded piece of paradise. tropical plants,the sounds of the jungle and just enough rustic charm. The view is fantastic and the charming feline hostesses make you feel right at home.

I could really use a studio so cozy like this one that fit our vibe 100%. The only flaw would be at night, if it’s hot, the termites are out to get yahhh! The host Hal, upon check in felt like I was staying with blood family. Easygoing and fulfilled our needs. Mahalo Nui

My second time here -- the best house, with the kindest hosts. Well-stocked kitchen and living space, and I love this neighborhood so much.

While the roosters, frogs, and road noise were louder than expected, the provided ear plugs helped and the stay was comfortable. Kathy gave a nice tour of the property. We made good use of the snorkel gear at Two Step Beach, which is right down the hill and is considered the best snorkeling on the island. Hot tub was great and private. We appreciated the fresh fruit from the property every day. Tina’s bakery stand at the bottom of the driveway was incredible!

We really enjoyed Kathy’s condo. It was close to all of our snorkeling tours. Kathy is a very responsive host and gave great recommendations for food and activities. Thank you for a wonderful visit!

Super clean, excellent and pristine furniture. The garden and the surrounding were fascinating. I was surprised to learn that we're allowed to use the barbecue grill and the bon fire but unfortunately had little time to use as there are a lot of things to do at the Big Island. Hopefully next time! Thanks for the beautiful stay!

I enjoyed my stay in Kona. This place was exactly as advertised and looked just like the pictures. Thomas was super proactive and responsive to all of my needs. Check in was easy and clear instruction for check in and check out were provided. Amenities included a wide selection of beach items which was fantastic. Location was wonderful with walkable access to several popular but never crowded beaches. Private parking was a plus. I recommend.

This was an amazing place. I wish we had stayed here longer. The space is immaculate, spacious, inviting, peaceful, and absolutely beautiful! Joyce was an incredible host who went above and beyond. Very close to town (beaches, restaurants, and tours). It’s in a suburban neighborhood, but feels remote and is very quiet and private. We will definitely stay here when we return to Hilo!

The beach gear was so much fun for our beach days, the location was great and close to pretty much everything we wanted to do on the trip, we loved our morning coffee on the lanai, and the decor was a plus, loved it all! Beautiful clean and roomy condo in a perfect location. Close to everything Kona had to offer. I loved waking up to the sound of the ocean every morning. It had everything we needed to enjoy our stay inside or while out on the beach. Would highly recommend! And would love to come back one day. Thanks again for an awesome vacation!

Beautiful stay. Beautiful majestic views and conveniently located close to the airport and Kona activities. The place was clean and had everything one could need. The kitchen was useful for cooking our own meals and the bed was comfortable to sleep in. I also loved seeing the little animals in the neighbors yard next door. The place had extra towels, blankets and other supplies you may need that made this place a great stay. I highly recommend.

Our stay here was perfect. Location was amazing right by the beach at a peaceful community, great for viewing sunrise/sunset. The place was just as pictured, very clean and had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

Awesome location and lodgings. The soothing sounds of the ocean are the best.

We read reviews about bugs and a bad smell, however we had no issues with either. Place felt very clean and smelled great, has all the amenities and appliances that we needed. Even had a boogie board in the closet that we could use which was fun! Overall great place, right by tons of restaurants and stores as well as the shoreline.

Very peaceful place to stay and quite close to Kilauea but near the coast too which was the perfect combination for us as we wanted to spend a the day exploring the volcano but also have the warmth of lower elevation and easily stroll to the ocean from our condo. Tom and Christen were very accessible by text and had great suggestions on sights to see and things to do.
