Vacation rentals with a fire pit in South Hero

Where do I start...from before I arrived, up until my departure...Joanne was attentive in every way possible. All my questions were answered with an immediate response. The home was extraordinary. The effort Joanne has put in to making it just like home shows. With an abundance of whimsical touches. Up until the day I left, I would see a new thing. As if the enchanting home wasn't enough, the back patio is a place of serenity...with the sounds and view of the river extraordinary. I could go on and on, but I will just say, "it was the best vacation I have ever had". One word describes this Airbnb...AMAZING!!!🩷. I will return next year! Didn't want to leave!!! 😊 Thank you Joanne for your exemplary hospitality!

We recently stayed at a delightful lake house in Plattsburgh to celebrate our son’s graduation from CUNY Plattsburgh. Our time there was truly special, as the tranquil atmosphere and beautiful lake views provided the perfect backdrop for our family gathering. The Boathouse was well-equipped with all the essentials we needed for a comfortable weekend stay. We appreciated the thoughtful amenities that made our time relaxing and enjoyable. The peacefulness of the lake allowed us to disconnect from our busy lives and fully immerse ourselves in this joyous occasion. Overall, our stay was a wonderful blend of celebration and serenity. We are looking forward to returning to this lovely retreat in the future!

Easily a 5-star! The hosts communicated well and were very responsive. All of the instructions were straight-forward and made sense. Location is A+, parking is easy, the place was spotless when we arrived. Very quiet, didn't notice any road noise, and when we were out back on the deck we didn't notice anything except the view out over Keeler Bay. Close to everything you would need for a getaway and far enough away from everything you want to get away from. We've already booked another stay and it won't be the last for sure!

This house is an amazing find. We had four adults and a child and found it to be a perfect launching pad for a Burlington weekend. Property is quiet and secluded, surrounded by rolling pasture land on all sides. Charlotte recommended a local farm shop 5 mins away where we got local cheeses and fresh lamb to grill on the outdoor gas grill. At night we stayed up late around the fire pit with no neighbors to notice us laughing all night. The modern conveniences are there….fast WiFi, large tvs with Rokus (the upstairs living space is amazing)….but the farmhouse vibe of the house made you not care about missing out on tv (Saturday morning cartoons excluded). We will definitely be back.

5 STARS! Very cozy property filled with wonderful amenities. Large spacious bedrooms and great outdoor space and seating area. Beautiful views of Lake Champlain from many spaces in the house. We had a such a wonderful stay, so much so we booked it again for another few days! Tamara was an excellent host. Would love to visit again :)

My group had a wonderful stay at Ryan's place. It was extremely easy to access the lake and very close to a lot of wonderful restaurants and Burlington proper! The house was charming and just as advertised. The hidden room was a trip to see!

Really great place! Loved the location and the view. Our dog loved the place as well. We would like to come back in the future for another stay.

The views were absolutely spectacular. Place was spotless and fairly comfortable. (I have had spinal fusion due to severe arthritis so not much is comfortable) my son said it was comfortable and loved the area. Would highly recommend going to their place. If I come back I would stay again. Thank you.

Audrey’s Porcupine Farm Barn was the perfect place for us and our pup to get some respite from our day to day grind. With scenic vistas outside our window the space was an ideal blend of rustic and comfortable, and Audrey was around to answer any questions and assist us whenever we needed. We would absolutely stay again - and hopefully will soon!

a very nice and quiet place for me and my friends to relax! the river was sooo beautiful townake up to in the morning and we all made some s'mores by the campfire! right next to a nice restaurant and a Stewart's so we could even get everything we needed for the fire! would come back here again and thanks for letting us stay!

Every little detail about this quaint apartment suited us perfectly! We were in a beautiful space that fit my family of 4 very comfortably! After a 6 1/2 hour drive without stopping for food we were beyond excited and thankful to be greeted with a homemade loaf of sourdough bread and a basket full of treats! The space is perfectly appointed and pristine! We were just minutes away from our daughter whom we were visiting at UVM, and minutes from the lake, river and pond for my husband and son fishing enthusiasts! Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

We had a wonderful stay at Brian’s place in Jay, NY. The apartment was clean, cozy, and located in a beautiful, peaceful area with a big green backyard—perfect for relaxing. It’s just a short drive to Lake Placid, the covered bridge, and Whiteface Mountain, with great breakfast spots only 5 minutes away. Brian was a responsive and welcoming host, greeting us at check-in and making sure we had everything we needed. This was a perfect base for exploring the Adirondacks, and we’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

We loved our stay at Julie's! Our pooches had the best time. They were the happiest to be in nature and interact with the other animals. We also had a great time unwinding and connecting with nature. Hoping we can come back soon.

We had a great holiday weekend in Charlotte at Robert's apartment. It was close to the mountains we wanted to climb and a nature preserve where we skied. Close to Burlington and Middlebury where we found dinner each night. The apartment is cozy and comfortable; really a delightful place. We also met Robert who was funny and the perfect host. We stayed during a massive winter storm that dumped so much snow on the area and Robert was always very interested in making sure we could get out of the driveway! There were also thoughtful snacks and what not for us when we arrived which is such a nice bonus. We will definitely check to see if the apartment is available the next time we come to VT. Thank you so much, Robert! We hope to stay with you again soon.

A beautiful cozy place in a quiet green area. Everything was clean and well organized, comfortable bed, good pressure and temperature in the shower. Nice little kitchen. Very friendly and responsive host. Would definitely recommend 😊

Our stay was terrific! I grew up in the area and was visiting friends and family. Jackie's house was clean and peaceful, and she had all the amenities my wife and I needed. Chez Loubier is conveniently located in the center of town and offers easy access to everything the greater Burlington area has to offer. I will definitely stay here again when I visit.

Such a beautiful cabin! We had the best time, even with some rainy weather! This location is perfect for exploring beautiful Vermont and for having a cozy night in. The sound of the river was so calming - we didn’t want to leave! The unit is right above the bathrooms, as mentioned but that was never an issue! We heard folks coming and going every now and then but we knew to expect this based on the description. The cabin was fully equipped everything we needed and even more! The dog treats, long leash and doggy bowls were a great touch! We would absolutely recommend to anyone considering this stay! Perfect weekend for us and our sweet golden retriever!

We had a great stay at Robin’s cabin right on Auger Lake for my birthday. The cabin was very clean and cozy, and had everything we needed. The hot tub was great especially since we had unexpectedly cold weather for June. The area was very quiet and peaceful, but still close to a lot of cool places. Definitely will be coming back!

This is a really beautiful location. The pictures are accurate but they don't quite capture the scale of the bay, lake, and peninsula. You're perched up on a hill or cliff and the birds-eye perspective makes for a great view. The owners are welcoming but respect your privacy. Ausable Chasm is definitely worth the visit. It takes several hours to explore the trails so keep in mind to bring some water. I found Keeseville the perfect place for a peaceful getaway, away from all the traffic and nonsense associated with our daily lives. There are a couple of good spots to eat in town and everything is about 10 minutes from the cabin. Lake Placid is about 45 minutes way if you're looking for other things to do. The drive up Whiteface Mountain is breathtaking and High Falls Gorge is nice, but the gorge pales in comparison to Ausable Chasm.

My mom and I stayed at Jarrells place for a long weekend and we LOVED it. The coziness and privacy of the cabin made for a fun trip in the Adirondacks. The only thing that wasn't all that great was the weather but we still made the most of it playing cards and watching movies!! The hot-tub was so fun and relaxing as well. I will say when staying here make sure you're prepared with food because the only restaurant in town is a pizzeria that is not all that great. We took a drive to lake placid one evening for a nice dinner at Lisa G's but besides that we used the grill over the fire as well as the hot plate provided!! Thank you again for the wonderful experience!!!

The cabin was just as described, kind of made us want to be there in the winter it was so cozy. Vaulted ceilings and windows allowed us to appreciate the surrounding beauty of the Adirondacks. It was the perfect distance from Plattsburgh to enjoy our daughter’s graduation.

Lovely place and very clean. The host always responded quickly, the hot tub was clean, and the firewood was very well stocked.

We could not have asked for a better place to stay. Gorgeous house, absolutely spotless. Amazing stay, will definitely be coming back again!

Michael’s place is absolutely gorgeous. Although the weather wasn’t on our side, we still felt very cozy and at home. When we got a little break in the weather we went to some nearby hikes and views with our dog who loved every bit of it. Would highly recommend a stay here.
