Beachfront vacation rentals in South Ballina

Amazing place! Doug and Deb's place is peaceful and comfortable. It is close to restaurants at Kingscliff and Casuarina or has everything you'd ever need to cook for yourself - we did a mix of both. The house is very welcoming and the beds very comfortable. There is a lovely walk to the beach and 2 cafes and there is also a dog friendly beach about 15-20 minutes' walk in the other direction. Don't miss Cubby cafe at Chinderah - a very short drive away. Go early to get a blueberry and lemon curd muffin - they're all gone by about 11am. All in all, we had a wonderful, relaxed 9 nights and highly recommend the house and its location.

The communication with the hosts was fantastic! They were always quick to respond and super helpful, which made our stay so much smoother. The room itself was clean and tidy, and we were pleasantly surprised by the newly updated bathroom – it felt like a little slice of luxury! One of the best parts was the location. It was so convenient, being close to shops and the beach. Perfect for a couple or even just a single traveler. We were there for a stopover on our way to the Gold Coast, and it couldn't have been more ideal. If you’re looking for a cozy place to stay, I highly recommend this spot. It was a lovely little retreat!

Belongil is without a doubt one of the very best locations in Byron and Scott and Mark are great hosts. From the property you can hear the waves and the birds, it’s so peaceful and comfortable. Walk into central Byron, along the beach, in less than ten minutes. Scott’s property is excellent value for money, super comfortable and clean, and is dog friendly with a secure yard. Perfect!

Kathy was a wonderful and kind host. We requested early check in and Kathy responded promptly and was able to offer us this which we were very grateful for! The accomodation was beautiful and peaceful. Everything was clean and felt very homey. There was plenty of cookware, utensils, towels and blankets. There were heaters in each room which kept the rooms warm at night. Overall, very happy with our stay. It was affordable and a great location, only a short walk to the shops, food and the beach! Had a great short stay in South Kingscliff with our dog. Beautiful spot for relaxing and walking along the beach. Studio apartment nicely appointed and comfy bed. Debbie was also a great host.

We had a fantastic stay at Damon's! We were a family group of 12 and had plenty of space. The house is very well equipped with everything you need (and more!). Perfect location - only a short walk to the beach, restaurants and cafes. The beautiful pool and spa were also very well used throughout our stay! Damon was friendly and responsive to messages and we appreciated the offer of a late checkout. Thanks again for a lovely getaway.

My partner son and I had a wonderful stay at Lesley’s place - such a treat to go to sleep to the sound of the waves - beautiful Cabarita beach a few hundred metres walk away - Lesley’s place was spotless and comfortable and had everything we needed . Lesley was very responsive with communication and a great host. Thanks Lesley your place is a real gem .

My friends and I had such a lovely stay. All of the beds were so comfortable and there was lots of space. The plunge pool was decadent and being so close to the main pool was fantastic too. Everything was easy and the hosts were super helpful and lovely. Would definitely come and stay again.

Amazing location. Great communication from hosts. The unit is very well appointed with beautiful products in the bathrooms and teas and coffee provided. Easy check in and flexible check out.

Margy and Graham are exceptional hosts — responsive, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. The space itself is much larger and more open than it appeared in the photos, which was a pleasant surprise. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. It's just a short walk to the beach, making it easy to head out barefoot for a relaxing stroll along the shore. Treehouse, located only 200 metres away, is a great spot to enjoy live music and pizza on a Friday evening. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a laid-back coastal getaway.

Great place! We didn’t use the bbq and pool as it was raining but the house itself was perfect for 6 people. Walking to the town was taking us about 24 mins, however, ubers were readily available in the area. The house was in a peaceful location.

We had a wonderful stay. The house was perfect. The kitchen was well appointed with beautiful new Essteele pots for cooking. Paula was a fantastic host.

We had an amazing stay, thank you for having us! The accommodation was spacious, and exactly as listed. We were really comfortable, and enjoyed our time and will be back! Can't wait to come back and see the new restaurant. Kim is LOVELY! My only feedback would be - for an AirBNB user, we are used to having check-in instructions on the listing. For this property we didn't know to go to reception - which is something we usually avoid doing for an AirBNB because receptions don't like talking to AirBNB bookers generally. So my only feedback would be to tell visitors to come to reception on check-in. Amazing stay! Thank you again!

Great home - great location - great sunrises! We were a little concerned about the privacy of the home being right next to the public beach access but those concerns quickly disappeared - the home is plenty private with full window shades in every room should you need them. We rarely used them however as the ocean views are spectacular from almost every room of the house. There is also great surfing a few minutes away depending on the conditions and the surf shop in town has quality rentals and anything else you could need. Thank you for having us, Maree - we would love to visit again!

This is a great location - right next to the beach and town, yet still felt private . We’ll set up apartment . We’d come back.

The apartment was beautifully and sleekly furnished with a killer balcony that we spent a lot of time just gazing at the beautiful view . The kitchen was so well set up - champagne glasses - everything you need if you really want to cook a great seafood meal. Beautiful bathroom .
