Room ecodôme lake view & high Moroccan atlas

FlorineRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Accommodation matches the description, the place is peaceful and the views are stunning. However, we came in early June and we were a little hot. Fatima kindly offered us a fan but it was still difficult to lower the temperature in the dome. If there are 2 of you, take the largest domes, the small one is a little narrow for 2. Unusual experience, however, I would recommend it.

Bivouac under construction in the desert

FedericoRating, 5 stars112 months ago
Great! Stupendo! Increasing! Marta was very nice and advised us on how to visit the desert. She was not there at the time of our visit, but we met his partner, Mustapha. Mustapha is from a nomad family that settled in M'Hamid. He can fluently speak english, french and spanish, plus some funny italian. He guided us in the old village, really worth a visit, truly authentic, no other tourists. He is also an experienced guide for excursions in the desert. He can organize from a two days, one night tour, to longer trips of several weeks (with animals or car). If the weather is nice, go for the 'wild camping' with Mustapha meaning sleeping in the desert alone, and not in a camp. In our case, there was a sand storm (some wind) and we went to a camp, which was comfortable (private tent, good food, music at night, toilets and so on). If you like trekking, no need for dromedary (quite uncomfortable to ride, but good to carry luggage). We were kindly hosted in a small house Marta and Mustapha have next to their family. It's independent, simple but good with toilet (with hot water), kitchen, living room and bedroom. Traditional architecture. We had some meals with Mustapha's family, the mother is definitively a great cook and we had the best cous cous of our life! Marta and Mustapha are building their camp at the frontier of the desert, a couple of Km from M'Hamid. Unfortunately, due to the weather, we could not visit it. We will definitively remember this experience for all our life, thanks a lot!

Cozy finn hut for 2 people in nature

ClaudiaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
I felt very comfortable in the Finnhütte, was very enthusiastic about the landscape. I was able to recover well and would have endured it even longer. The kitchen use and the whole area make the stay very pleasant. After years of knowing the place only from social media, I was happily surprised by the coziness of the place. I had imagined it a little more remote, you can still hear the street, but it is easily accessible, you can drive quickly to the place for breakfast at night. I really liked the cabin! Everything was very well thought out and that I liked the fact that the responsibility is emphasized in terms of cleanliness. Jane is very straightforward and friendly; respect for what she has created in recent years! However, the hiking descriptions could be improved a little, got lost a few times, but it was still beautiful. I'll be back for sure!

My second stay in Paradise … and certainly not my last ! So magical and peaceful, i had a hard time leaving again. I felt in my own little bubble, far away from everything. The place is as described and is very clean ! I recommend going this time of year, the weather was amazing, both during the day and the night. I recommend walking outside of the reserve, my dogs loved it ! Perfect for a silent and peaceful retreat for a few days ! Thank you Carina! I will be back again 😍🤍

Mhamid Desert Camp

EglėRating, 5 stars5 months ago
The camp is beautiful and quite remote so you really can disconnect and feel like you’re in the wild. Brahim is a gracious host, his drum skills are incredible and the night by the fire in intimate surroundings with only 4 other guests felt like you truly saw a moment of life in the desert. The bed was very comfortable and the covers super warm even in the freezing desert night.

Natura Village Ecolodge III 32 km from Essaouira

ArjenRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Fantastic stay with amazing views from a nice quiet secluded location. Definitely helps to have a slightly larger car to get there although our picanto managed to trudge up the hill as well. The sunset is stunning, and best enjoyed with a nice drink and a little snack on the front porch of your private getaway. It's a bit challenging to get there the first time, but with the help of Google translate and online messages we got there quite smoothly. One of the best things is that you can go to the farm for some fresh veggies. We got some delicious seasonal vegetables and herbs and bought some of the locally produced honey and olive oil to make some farm to plate salads to enjoy. Thank you so much for the hospitality, I'd recommend everyone to come and relax if you can.
