The apartments are located at a former US Coast Guard Loran C base at Gufuskálar. Gufuskálar has a rich history since first settlers came to Iceland over 1000 years ago. Our house is 70 years old and was originally built as the local store using building materials such as concrete mixed with lava from the glacier/volcano Snæfellsjökull. The house stands by the main-road and should, therefore, be easily accessible all year round. It is located 230 meters from the beautiful dock of Arnarstapi. A newly built porch stretches all around the house accessible from within the kitchen and the main entrance.
